The Christmas Classic

The Christmas Classic (TCC) is an annual rivalry basketball tournament that celebrates competition, community, and connection. Our mission is to create a family-friendly experience for former players who remain passionate about their high school rivalry and want one more chance to lace ‘em up!
Beyond the game, TCC serves as a hub for networking, fellowship, and intercommunity engagement through the power of exciting sports rivalries. Looking ahead, we aim to expand the event to include current high school rivalry matchups, further strengthening the tradition and spirit that make TCC special.

Who:
High school alumni basketball teams.
What:
2-day basketball tournament featuring alumni players in exciting friendly rivalry games.
Where:
Booker T. Dozier Recreation Center (Inkster Complex).
When:
December 27 & 28.
Why:
A community effort to provide an opportunity for proud former players to showcase their skills and settle old rivalries and debates that still fuel "barber shop talk" and friendly banter. A positive event for the community during the holidays to bring families and friends together in a fun and exciting environment, where bragging rights are on the line.
