The Choreographer Showcase Pt 2

The Choreographer Showcase is a special performance event created by MVMT, The CO. to bring professional dance, artistry, and creative storytelling to our community. It’s designed to give dancers, choreographers, and audiences the chance to experience work that goes beyond competition routines—highlighting original choreography, collaboration, and the heart behind the art.

The vision behind the showcase is simple: small towns deserve ART.

More than a performance, this event also serves a greater purpose. Proceeds from the Choreographer Showcase help fund scholarship opportunities for dancers who have a passion for dance but may not have the financial resources to train. Last year, because of the support of this event and our community, we were able to provide dance education for 8 dancers throughout the entire dance season.

The showcase creates space for:

• Professional and emerging choreographers to present original work
• Dancers to be challenged creatively and artistically
• The community to experience concert-style dance in an intimate setting
• Young artists to access training opportunities they may not otherwise have

At its heart, the Choreographer Showcase is about building culture, creating opportunity, and making sure every dancer with a dream has a chance to move, grow, and be seen.
