The Choir of St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle was founded in 1348 and has sung the services continuously since then, except for the Commonwealth period 1649 - 60. 2025 celebrates the 550th anniversary of the current Chapel and the Festival is privileged to be focusing on this wonderful and unique building this year.
Featuring the rich tradition of English song championed by English composers of the 20th century, this concert will culminate with Duruflé's transcendent Requiem of 1947, written immediately after World War II in the year which also marks the 80th anniversary of that conflict.
