We’re also incredibly excited to welcome our special guest speaker Gareth “Gaz” Owen, former Wrexham AFC midfielder with over 400 competitive appearances and a celebrated testimonial against Manchester United.
Now manager of Wrexham AFC Women U19s, Gaz led the team to a league title in their first season. But it’s his personal story that truly moves people.
In 2023, Gaz survived a major ischemic stroke that caused loss of speech and movement on his right side. Despite losing an estimated 20 billion neurons, he fought his way back, returning to coaching, rebuilding his life, and becoming a powerful voice for resilience, leadership and mental health advocacy.
He’ll also share how music and storytelling became part of his healing, connection and recovery, a message that stays with you long after you’ve heard it.
PLUS our Member Spotlight features Maira Sheikh – Maira helps women in business build personal brands with CONFIDENCE! she helps with practical strategies that help people show up with more confidence online.
She works on, personal branding, becoming visible, linked In for professionals and showing up confidently on camera.
