Join us for the first annual Community Chess Tournament, The Checkmate Challenge, at Lindbergh High School!Whether you’re a seasoned player or new to the game, this tournament offers fun for all ages and skill levels.
Event Highlights:
• Open to students, families, and community members
• Cash prizes - $100 first place, $50 second place in each division
• Refreshments available for purchase
• Fun side games between rounds!
This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your skills, meet fellow chess enthusiasts, and support a great cause.
Tournament Format:
• Swiss-style (everyone plays all 3 rounds)
• Divisions: 12 and under, 13 and above
• Check-in/walk-in registration begins at 9:00 am; tournament play begins at 9:30 am and is expected to end by 12:00 pm.
How to Register:
Early-Bird Registration (before 10/26): $25 per player
Pre-Registration (before 11/8): $30 per player
Walk-In Registration: $35 per player
