THE CHASE V2
About this Event
THE CHASE V2 🏁
Brought to you by JunctionCC, Assos, and Parlee Cycles. With additional support from Sweet Protection, Freaks of Nature, Ka-Ex, and Maurtens.
Last year, a huge crew of riders lined up for the first edition of The Chase. This year, we're making it bigger, faster, and more competitive.
📅 Saturday, July 25
Check-in: 9:00am
Roll-out: 10:00am
Ride + party + hang: until 5:00pm or as long as needed
How it works
- Teams of 4 riders.
- Each rider should be prepared for ~75 miles of self-supported riding.
- Every team races together from Parlee Cycles (69 Federal St, Beverly, MA 01915) to Cashman Boat Ramp Park (Sally Snyder Way, Newburyport, MA 01950).
There is no prescribed course. Every team is free to choose its own route between Parlee Cycles and Cashman Boat Ramp Park. The objective is simple: find the fastest and safest way there.
Once all four teammates arrive at Cashman Boat Ramp Park, the second phase begins.
Each rider chooses one of four secret routes across the North Shore. Every route sends you solo to a different location—some reward speed, others climbing, navigation, or creative route selection. You each go off on your own to the location chose and once you've checked in at this new spot, it's a race back to Parlee Cycles. Ride on your own. Relink up with your teammates. It's truly up to you to think on the fly and find your best strategy to win.
The clock doesn't stop until all four teammates have returned.
The first three complete teams back to Parlee Cycles claim the podium and take home prizes.

Rider Expectations
This is a race-style event built around speed, teamwork, strategy, and navigation. Riders should be comfortable riding both in a group and solo, creating their own routes between locations, and being completely self-supported throughout the day.
All riders are expected to obey traffic laws, ride responsibly, and respect other road users throughout the event.
We'll wrap things up back at Parlee Cycles with food, drinks, and an awards ceremony once everyone has returned.
Grab three friends, build your strategy, and we'll see you on the start line.
*Rain date of 8/8
