The Change Circle: A Menopause & Perimenopause Meetup

Calling all women in the change — however far along you are on the path. 🌙
I've wanted to hold a gathering like this for years. Then the pandemic happened, and life happened, and it kept getting pushed to "someday." But someday doesn't show up on its own — you have to make it. So: if not now, when?
For generations, women have gathered like this: sharing what our bodies and hearts are moving through, so no one has to carry it alone. This is that circle, brought back.
I felt this pull most strongly while standing in Teotihuacán, near Mexico City, last year. At the base of those ancient pyramids — thinking about the full moon, the generations of women who came before us everywhere, who gathered, who held each other, who knew things about strength and cycles and power that we're still remembering. I want to bring a little of that feeling home.
And home has asked a lot of us lately. This community showed up for each other through Operation Metro Surge — checking on neighbors, filling empty chairs at school pickup, holding each other up through a hard season. That's the same strength this circle is made of. We know how to protect each other. Tonight, let's also rest in each other.
Come as you are. Bring your hot flashes, your questions, your grief, your relief, your laughter. We're building a space where perimenopause and menopause aren't whispered about — they're witnessed, together.
What to expect:
🕯️ Treats, wine, coffee & tea — available for purchase at the counter (this is a regular business night for them too, so grab something and support the shop!)
🪨 A simple craft to take home
🎤 Open mic time to share (only if you want to!)
💨 A cool-off station for hot flashes
📖 Info on navigating this transition
🌀 A little "collective release" — come find out
🌕 Sisterhood, matriarchy, and honoring the cycle of life
"May all your transitions be joyful." — a line from Bridget Christie's The Change
This is for every woman moving through — mothers, daughters, sisters, friends. All women, femme & nonbinary folks walking this journey of womanhood and this transition are welcome. This is an 18+ gathering. Come alone, come with your people.
If you'd like to co-host with me, let me know.
