Featuring: Gia Scott-Heron, Father Amde Hamilton & Victor Orlando. Host by Comedian SpeedyLive on stage sharing stories, memories, poems and songs Gil Scott-Heron’s daughter Gia Scott-Heron and a band of spoken word artists from Leimert Park are spittin’ fire and blazin’ stages on a worldwide tour.
Hear their story, learn how their love of poetry took them from venues in Leimert Park in Los Angeles to the Willie Agee Playhouse, a Community Park Theatre in Inglewood, California to a month long run off-Broadway in New York City honoring Black History in February 2025.
In Gil Scott-Heron Bluesology, while reciting the timeless and powerful words of Mr. Scott-Heron these electrifying spoken word artists weave their own personal poetic journeys into the rip roaring fire. Hear how this amazing collective of local poets are writting their own history.
They're currenly working on volume two of their book...
"The History of Gil Scott-Heron Bluesology". They've recorded two Poetry Albums and documented every step of the way...Look for their Documentry later this year at one of Black Hollywood Education & Resorce Center's Film Festivals.
