The Capricornian presents Handel's Messiah, a grand collaboration between Yeppoon Choral Society and Rockhampton Symphony Orchestra. Celebrating YCS’s 60th anniversary, an 80-voice choir unites singers from across Central Queensland under Choral Conductor Lorraine Manifold, alongside soloists Naomi Yu (Soprano), Kathleen Campbell (Mezzo), Jacob Goves (Tenor) and Hainian Yu (Bass).
Led by Chief Conductor Owen Clarke, the RSO performs Sir Eugene Goossens’ rich 1959 orchestration of Handel’s 1741 masterpiece, featuring Principal Trumpet Yolanda Aay in The Trumpet Shall Sound.
The Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) is a partnership between the Queensland Government and Livingstone Shire Council to support local arts and culture in regional Queensland.
