An evening of ritual, remembrance, embodiment and connection.
Earth holds the centre, and the balance during times of transition.
She presides over the shifting connections of time, space and relationship.
Let us listen to what she has to say at the Winter Solstice.
In the darkness of long Winter nights, we must remember to feel our footsteps on the ground and see our breath in the frigid air. Reflectively at this time, we may call on the wisdom of our ancestors to help us carry on along life’s uncertain path. Under the dark moon sky, we will ‘gather around the fire’ in community, with shared stories of longing and experience, where we can light a torch to walk each other home.
Without seasonal sacred rituals, humanity would die. This is why we often feel the pull, the need for connection, and timeless community drawing us near each other - this is the Call of the Earth.
The Great Mother reminds us to love, care and consider ourselves and our Earthy family, in all forms: human, animal, plant, stone, spirit. She faces us with the harshness of survival through winter’s elements so that we remember to value what truly matters.
In this 3-hour mini-retreat, we will journey into the depths to recall our inner wisdom. Seeking the tenderness we need to let go of the past, and the strength to move through winter’s wrath. We will enter into ceremonial space to process using:
Cacao - for the openness to receive
Embodiment Practice - to softly shed and surrender held impressions
Vocal Toning - to call in your inner power and authentic expression
Shamanic Drum Journey - to explore the subconscious realms to gather wisdom
Reflective Journaling - to process and recall our personal experiences
These rituals have been handed to us from wisdomkeepers that yearn for people to remember the necessity of Earth connection for life itself, and reverence to that fact that we are not always in control.
