🥬 The Cabbagetown Festival is back for its 47th year — and it's the biggest one yet! Toronto's longest-running street festival takes over Parliament and Carlton Streets for two full days of music, food, art, and culture. Free to attend, family- and pet-friendly, and open to everyone.
What to Expect:
🎵 Live Music & DJs — Dance to live sets at our brand-new EDM DJ Stage, sway to blues and rock bands, and catch a diverse lineup across the festival, including Indigenous artists and drag performers.
🤹 Street Performers — Stilt walkers, drag performers, and more bringing energy to every corner of the festival.
🛍️ Artisan Stalls & Unique Shops — Over 250 vendor stalls featuring handmade-in-Canada businesses and local Cabbagetown makers.
🍽️ Craft Beer, Patios & Food Trucks — A world of flavour from food trucks, extended patios, and restaurants, plus craft beer to wash it down.
🎈 Kids Zone — A dedicated kids' stage with live music and magic acts, bouncy castles, craft tables, bubbles, games, drag storytime, and face painting. Completely free.
📸 Historic Photo Exhibit — A stunning look back at the people, stories, and streets that shaped Cabbagetown.
🏳️‍🌈 NEW: Rainbow Market — Our first-ever market celebrating Cabbagetown's 2SLGBTQI+ community, featuring queer-owned vendors, makers, and artists.
🪶 Indigenous Celebration Stage — Presented with Native Child and Family Services of Toronto, this dedicated space returns with Indigenous traditions, storytelling, performances, poetry, and skills.
Kick things off with us: Join our Opening Ceremonies at 11 AM on Saturday, September 12, featuring the annual cabbage-cutting tradition — 47 years running. Then close out the weekend at our Closing Parade on Sunday, September 13 at 6:20 PM, dancing down Parliament Street into an epic street party.
Good to know:
🚧 Parliament St. and Carlton St. will close to traffic on Sept. 12 at 6 AM and reopen Sept. 13 at 11 PM.
🎟️ Admission is completely free — no tickets required.
