The Bundaberg RSL Sub-Branch proudly invites our community to attend the 2026 Senior Schools Public Speaking Competition — an inspiring evening showcasing the talent, insight, and voices of our local senior students.
📅 Date: Thursday, 30 July 2026
🕕 Time: 6:00pm
📍 Location: Gallipoli Room, Bundaberg RSL Club
This year’s topic challenges students to explore an important moment in Australia’s history:
“Explore and voice your interpretation of the political implications of Australia’s participation in the Vietnam War.”
Students from Years 10–12 will present thoughtful and well-researched speeches, considering:
• The roles of the Army, Navy and Air Force during the conflict
• How Australia’s involvement compared to other countries
• Their own personal perspectives on the conflict and its outcomes
This event is a fantastic opportunity to support youth leadership, critical thinking, and confidence in public speaking, while reflecting on key moments in our nation’s past.
Certificates and prizes will be awarded.
We encourage families, educators, and community members to come along and support the next generation of voices.
