About this Event
On behalf of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, the Psi Iota Omega Chapter, and the Advocate for Social Justice Committee, we are honored to host the fireside chat, The Brothers Speak: A Message to Black Women from Black Men.
This event will focus on amplifying Black male voices and addressing the critical "now what" in light of the current socio-political climate. Guided by the theme, "Speaking the Truth," our goal is to foster honest, meaningful, and transformative conversations. As we honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day with acts of service in January, we recognize the complex emotions within our community, especially with the upcoming presidential inauguration on January 20th. The historic support of Black women for Kamala Harris underscores the significance of this moment and calls for reflection and dialogue.
A Black man’s presence and voice at this event are vital. Standing in solidarity with Black women in this space will play a pivotal role in creating an empowering and impactful discussion.
