Forsyth-Warren Tavern Living History Farm and Museum
Step into the turbulent days of the War of 1812 as the Forsyth-Warren Tavern transforms into a frontier headquarters once again. Our Military Encampment Weekend, titled “The British Are Coming,” brings history to life with immersive reenactments, period demonstrations, and stories of resilience from the Niagara Frontier.
As part of our ongoing theme, Defending the New Nation, this event honors the Tavern’s legacy as a provisions depot and command post during the war. Visitors will encounter uniformed interpreters, camp life displays, and firsthand accounts of the challenges faced by settlers and soldiers alike.
Highlights Include:
• Living history encampments with military drills and musket demonstrations
• Interactive exhibits on frontier defense and supply logistics
• Tavern tours featuring the story of Widow Polly Forsyth and Sgt. Ezra Warren
• Family-friendly activities and educational programming throughout the weekend
Admission is free. Donations welcome.
