SHOW HOURS: 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
FREE PUBLIC PROGRAM: 1:00pm
Join the Bonsai Society of Hartford at the Connecticut College Arboretum for an exhibit of beautiful bonsai trees. This exhibit will feature live specimen bonsai trees including both traditional Japanese and native North American species. There will be educational displays introducing visitors to specialty bonsai tools, supplies, pots, soil, and more.
At 1:00 p.m., Vincent Tanner, BSH President, will give an introductory presentation on bonsai history, horticulture, and aesthetics with a Q&A session to follow.
The Bonsai Society of Hartford is an educational nonprofit dedicated to cultivating the art of bonsai by offering educational programs, hands-on experiences, and public exhibits that inspire. The Bonsai Society of Hartford organizes a bonsai club that is open to the public and you can join!
The bonsai display will be located in the Black Box Theater at 33 Gallows Lane (New London, CT). Parking is available on site.
This show is free and open to the public.
