About this Event

Together, we are building a pathway to HBCUs of the 23rd Century! Building on the institutional wellness theme and how we can take active roles with our HBCUS, this second session is the opening to a day focused on the “State of the HBCUnion”. We will launch the day’s conversations with a focus on how Self-Help, Reinvestment Fund, and Student Freedom Initiative are actively engaged in creatively deploying financial strategies and innovative investment models for HBCU institutions and students. Not only will the conversation include the financial benefits for HBCUs, but we will also talk about taking control of the narrative about the future of HBCUs as investments in the future of the country, Black communities, and their sustainability. This session builds on the foundation of institutional wellness and how private actors and organizations invest to move a dream ahead to giving examples of investment-ready ventures happening right now. Building HBCUs of the 23rd Century begins right now!
