On the Sunday closest to the Feast of St Francis of Assisi (October 4th), who is renowned for his love of all God's creatures, we celebrate The Blessing of the Animals. This year, the blessing is Sunday, October 5th, at 2:00 p.m. in the church. Anyone is welcome to bring their feathered, furry, and scaly companions to be blessed (no church experience is required!). It is always a delight to welcome pets, fur babies, service dogs, and companion animals to receive a blessing alongside their humans. The service began 29 years ago and continues to be a much-loved service for those who attend.
