𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜𝘀 𝗮 𝗕𝘂𝗱𝗱𝗵𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁?
An empowerment is a beautiful, guided meditation in which we are introduced to an enlightened being. Through this connection, we receive their special blessings into our own mind.
It is a deeply positive and healing experience that anyone can participate in and benefit from.
𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝘂𝗱𝗱𝗵𝗮 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗸𝘆𝗮𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶
During this empowerment, our Resident Teacher, Gen Kelsang Ani, will guide us in a meditation in which we open ourselves to the blessings of Buddha Shakyamuni — the founder of Buddhism in this world.
Within each of us lies a natural capacity for joy, love, compassion and wisdom. This meditation helps us connect with that inner potential, gently awakening it so that, over time, we can feel more peaceful, positive and resilient in our everyday life.
𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿
Following the empowerment, Gen Ani will offer teachings on The Liberating Prayer — a short, beautiful, and deeply meaningful praise to Buddha Shakyamuni composed by the much-loved Buddhist master, Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.
Recited at Kadampa Centres around the world, this poetic prayer helps open our heart to the blessings of the Buddhas and carries their inspiration into our daily life.
Drawing on Geshe Kelsang Gyatso’s own commentaries, Gen Ani will share insights to help us explore and appreciate this prayer more deeply within our own personal practice.
𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗜𝘀 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲
This empowerment is open to everyone, whether you are new to meditation or have been practising for some time. Each meditation is guided step by step, and no prior knowledge of Buddhism is needed.
𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲
You are very welcome to join us for this special and meaningful experience.
