The Birds
by Aristophanes
Adapted by Walter Kerr
Humans are exhausting. Olympus is overrated. But those birds? They really know how to soar...
When two fed-up Athenians decide society is strictly for the birds, they hatch a plan to leave their troubles behind and flock to greener pastures. Their Dream? Ruffle a few feathers, unite the bird kingdom, and build the ultimate mid-air mecca: Cloud Cuckooland.
It’s a hilarious, high-flying comedy about taking flight, taking charge, and proving that fortune favors the bold, even if things get a little hawk-ward along the way.
