Welcome to The Big Social Presents.... Speed Dating! Looking for a fun way to meet new people? Join us at Rock Garden Cafe Bar for a night of exciting speed dating. Whether you're looking for a new friend or a potential romantic connection, this event is the perfect opportunity to mingle and make connections. Don't miss out on this chance to meet interesting individuals in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Get ready to chat, laugh, and maybe even find a spark! See you there!

How Speed Dating Works with "The Big Social"

When you arrive at Rock Garden your host (Jodie) will welcome you at the door. After getting your DRINKS TOKEN and name tag, you can make your way to the bar and grab your FREE WELCOME DRINK! (Please ask at the bar what's included).
Once everyone has arrived your host will explain the format of the evening and give you your speed dating sheet which will need to be filled in before, during and after the event. The ladies will take a seat at one of the allocated tables and then the gentlemen will be asked to make their way to a seat opposite.
You will have 4 minutes to chat to each date. We feel 4 minutes is a good amount of time to get to know your date enough to know whether you would/wouldn't wish to see them again. Once the 4 minutes is over your host will announce to the room, and then the gentlemen will then move on to their next date.
At the end of each date you have a minute or so to make some notes on a separate form (this is for you to keep) about the date, and fill in the main form whether you would like to see that person again.
Half way through the event we will have a break where you can nip to the toilet or top up your drink - sadly you'll have to pay for this one!
We will then continue the speed dating until all dates have met.
Once the event is over we ask that you then hand in your form to your host at "The Big Social".
The BIG Social is all about meeting new people, socialising, making memories and having some fun. And we will always be on hand to make it as enjoyable as possible.

Post Event

Once the event is over and your forms have been handed to your host. Your host will then contact you within 24 hours to tell you if you have any matches. (* please note, we will contact you via the form in which you have stated within your speed dating form)

After the event, you are more than welcome to stay and chat or head home!*
*note if you require a taxi, Price First Taxis can collect you straight from the door. You can call them on 01803 322322 to book.

T&C's Please note tickets are non refundable. If for any reason the event should not go ahead due to unforeseen circumstances we reserve the right to cancel the event at any time and we will refund the participant's in FULL. We will endeavour to contact all participant's with as much notice although this may not always be possible.This event will be held upstairs, should you require main floor access please contact us before booking and we will do our best to make alternative arrangements with the venue.
