BIG SIT BIRD COUNT
Join members of the Benjamin F. Goss Bird Club at Retzer Nature Center for this family-friendly fall bird count. Our goal is to count as many different species of birds as possible, while within a 17-foot diameter circle on the west side of the building.
A bird species is counted if they can be seen or heard. In previous years there have been over 50 different species identified during the day!

DATE/TIME: Saturday, October 10, 2026 • 6 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Participants can come and go as they please.
LOCATION: Retzer Nature Center (S14W28167 Madison St, Waukesha, WI)
Meet at the accessible patio area west of the Nature Center building.
COST: Free, open to the public!

REGISTRATION: No registration required; walk-ins welcome.
NOTE: Bring binoculars and a chair, and dress appropriately.
