About this Event
Ahead of Maternal Mental Health Awareness Week, this special edition of the Big MOB Meet-Up is dedicated to something many mothers don’t get enough of: space to be heard, understood, and supported.
Motherhood can be deeply rewarding—but it can also be isolating, overwhelming, and invisible in ways that are rarely acknowledged. This event is about changing that.
Hosted by Gemma Capocci, Counsellor and Psychotherapist, in partnership with Delivering Better, a campaign group advocating for improved maternal care, we’re bringing mothers together for a morning of real conversation, shared experience, and collective voice.
What to expect:
- A safe, supportive space to reflect on your own motherhood journey
- Guided open conversations around maternal mental health
- A powerful letter-writing exercise to express what needs to change
- The opportunity to connect with other mums who truly get it
- A chance to be part of a wider movement advocating for better support
This is not about having the “right” words or answers.
It’s about showing up as you are.
Why this matters
Too many mothers feel like they have to carry everything quietly.
This session is about:
- Acknowledging the reality of maternal mental health
- Making space for stories that often go unheard
- Turning individual experiences into collective voice and impact
Because when mothers come together, things start to shift.
Who it’s for
This event is for you if:
- You want space to pause and reflect
- You’ve ever felt overwhelmed, unseen, or unsupported in motherhood
- You value connection with other mums
- You want to be part of a conversation that goes beyond surface-level
You don’t need to prepare anything. Just come as you are.
