This is your chance to play at Oakwell Stadium for free while bringing people across Barnsley together for a great day.
Barnsley Recovery Steps are excited to be hosting a community football match, bringing people together for a day of fun, connection, and a bit of friendly competition. This is in collaboration with Barnsley Council, Barnsley in Recovery, and Barnsley FC Community Trust.
There’ll be stalls from local services and charities, giving you the chance to find out what support is available in your community. Whether you want to play or just come along to watch, everyone is welcome to enjoy the atmosphere.
It’s a family-friendly event with something for everyone, including entertainment, music and activities for children. A free lunch will also be provided.
Proposed schedule for the day:
• Doors open: 10:00am
• Young people’s match: 11:00am to 12:00pm
• Lunch: 12:15pm to 1:00pm
• Final match: 1:00pm to 2:30pm
