The Big Bedford Swish in aid of PSPA

The Big Bedford Swish will be an evening of sustainable style in support of the Progressive Supranuclear Palsy Association (PSPA).

For those not in the know, a swish is a clothes swap – you donate quality items you no longer wear and exchange them for something new-to-you.

🗓️ Friday 20 March 2026

📍 Bedford Greenacre Independent School, Manton Lane, Bedford MK41 7FZ

⏰ Doors open at 6.30pm for browsing, with the Swish starting at 7.30pm. Ends at 9.00pm

🍾 Glass of fizz on arrival included in ticket price (plus a paid bar during the event)

🎟️ A raffle with some amazing prizes

💛 Golden tickets – how they work

We have 20 Golden Tickets available. Golden Ticket holders get first pick and can secure up to two items before anyone else once the first whistle blows to start the Swish.

When the second whistle sounds, all other swishers can then join in and start swapping as usual.

It adds a little extra excitement to the evening – and giving a handful of people a head start on finding something special.

Where to drop your donations off

Please drop off your items by Friday 13 March (sooner the better though!) at one of the following locations:

• 21 Greenshields Road, MK40 3TS
• Lavender Moss, The Arcade, Bedford, MK40 1NS
• Pick up is available by texting Ceri on 07973 950 002

What to donate

This swish is for women’s clothes and accessories (hats, scarfs, shoes, bags, jewellery and hair accessories)only! Sorry boys!

They need to be:

• Clean and freshly laundered
• In good condition (no stains, holes or damage)
• Ready to wear – items you’d be happy to swap yourself
• Aim for quality over quantity!

Drop-off deadline

All donations must be dropped off by Friday 13 March (latest) so we have time to sort and prepare everything for the event.
