A must-do cycling experience, combined with our ”back in time” ingredient.
Experience a three days cycling adventure, crossing two times Carpathians from South to North and from North to South plus a list of cultural sites to visit along.
250 km cycling, crossing two times the Romanian Carpathian Mountains.
Including one night in Sibiu, one of the most beautiful cities in Romania, one night in the UNESCO World Heritage area of Horezu and one night in Curtea de Arges, a unique historical place of Romania.
Our trip starts in Curtea de Arges, the historical place for our country - first capital city of Valahia. From here we will start our across the mountain route of Transfagarsan, up to 2,000m altitude. We will end the day in Sibiu - the European Cultural Capital in 2007.
Our trip ends in Horezu area, a remarkable center of ceramic workshops included in UNESCO World Heritage.
Schedule:
Day 1 (October 10th) - evening meeting in Curtea de Arges. On request we can help you with the transfer from Bucharest.
Day 2 (October 11th) - cycling from Curtea de Arges to Cartisoara ( 95 km the short route or 135 km the entire road). Transfer from Cartisoara to Sibiu (40 km)
Day 3 (October 12th) – from Sibiu across Transalpina road (140 km), ending in Novaci. Transfer from Novaci to Horezu
Day 4 (Octobr 13th) – Short visit of Horezu and transfer to Bucharest
