The Best of the US Wine Fest at The Roost
About this Event
While the country may be celebrating 250 years of independence, the modern wine industry in the United States is really only about 50 years old. We can mark the beginning of the modern US wine boom at the Judgement of Paris tasting back in 1976, where California wines beat French wines in every category of a prestigious blind tasting. Since then, US wine has flourished, with the establishment of 280 American Viticultural Areas across the country. Farmers and winemakers across the country have been researching, innovating, experimenting, and pushing the boundaries to develop the Great American Wine.
We've selected thirty of our favorite wines across the top appellations in the United States to show off where we are now - after fifty years of progress since the Judgment of Paris, let's taste the best of what the US has to offer. We'll have six stations with wine pros pouring wines from California, Washington, Oregon, New York, Virginia, and more!
As always, we're breaking this up into two sessions, each offering two hours to walk around, taste the thirty wines (as many times as you'd like), snacks from the Roost kitchen, and access to an exclusive US bottle sale where all wines tasted will be available at a discounted price for ticket-holders!
