April is all about The Bard at the Burra Film Group, as we celebrate the wonderful words, worlds and adapted works of William Shakespeare. In celebration, we will be screening Franco Zeffirelli's sensational showcase "The Taming of the Shrew" (G, 1967) starring Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton. Doors open on Friday 4th April from 6:00 PM with the film starting at 6:30 PM. Please, feel free to bring along your own drinks, snacks and meals, as well as a fold-out chair if you're sitting downstairs. Cinema snacks will be available for purchase, with tea and coffee also on offer. Thanks to our friends at Claymore Wines, there will also be some reds and white available for purchase, for those in search of liquid refreshment. Burra Film Group screenings are members only events, to join-up, head to the Visit Burra centre or, purchase your membership at the historic Burra Community Town Hall on the night!
