Community is the hottest buzzword in running right now, but community starts and ends with people. These are among the best to be doing it.
About this Event

community noun
uk /kəˈmjuː.nə.ti/ us /kəˈmjuː.nə.t̬i/
A body of individuals unified by their common interests, goals or background.

If a community can be assessed by what those interests and goals are, then this panel of community builders is from the top drawer.

  • Jonty Brown - co-owner of Runlimited and advocate for youths with Type 1 Diabetes
  • Harkiran Kalsi - empowering women with her art and Women Make Moves
  • Iffath Nowrin - advocate for Muslim women with Muslim Runners
  • Tyler Williams Green - mentoring East London's youth with The Outrunners
  • Raziq Rauf - author of and community enthusiast

When it comes to the grassroots of this sport, it's all about the people who spend their free time building spaces for others to connect. A lot of the time, those spaces are built very specifically, as a mirror for the creator.

This evening, we will celebrate four of the best to be doing it in London.

Running is a radical act, and community is what makes it beautiful.
