The Beacon is a nonprofit in Des Moines that houses 66 women every night. We support women who are working to move out of homelessness and into stability and recovery.Many of the women we serve are survivors of domestic violence, human trafficking, addiction, and incarceration. About 80% of the women at The Beacon are mothers who are working to rebuild their lives and restore relationships with their children.
We provide safe housing, structure, accountability, and case management so women can get jobs, rebuild credit, reconnect with family, and create long-term independence. Our goal is not just to offer shelter, but to help women build stable, sustainable futures.
Community events like this help us keep our doors open and continue serving women who are doing the hard work of changing their lives.
All proceeds from Bingo cards will go directly to The Beacon.
