The Basement Show: A Lovely Comedy FestivalHi and thank you for being here, in the event details. Julia & Jason, totally really here, to tell you to come on down to Friday Soft Goods, this Pi Day (3/14/2025) to see us present to you our very first comedy festival day.
The main part of the evening will be a comedy contest. But oh, this isn't just any contest. This one is judged by Alana Gonzalez, and she very much gets to heckle, in addition to being peculiarly judgmental to our roster of comics performing. Everybody gets up to 5 minutes to impress the Alana, and you get to enjoy every second of it by coming down to see it ✌🏻
And of course, a comedy festival needs a headliner. And we are ecstatic that Joe Aasim is who we got for you. Joe is one of the hosts of Matchmade Onstage, especially the one with Bikes 🤤, the live improvised lovely layers behind Mark Philipp's spectacular special That's Enough, and tbh such a great friend to so many people... and such a big, rooted part of Jason & Julia's comedy history.
Golly, we almost forgot to tell you, the super cool, wonderful list of performers we have coming to compete for you:

This show is available to you as a PWYC sorta thing at $5. We also hope you come, and give yourself a chance to buy something awesome at Friday Soft Goods. It is one of those spectacular places you know you'll find something you love, and somebody to talk to about it with... like Jake!

The Basement Show is a comedy and variety show. As Jason loves to put on the flyers, we give you stories, jokes, and moments. Julia & Jason hope you guys come by, and get to find so many of the kind of moments that make you realize, you're going to remember this one for a long time.
