What is Baltimore Breathwork?

Elizabeth facilitates an almost magical breathwork curated musical experience, with sound healing for dessert. It is an opportunity to get out of your head and release all of your emotions, and then drop into your heart and feel connected to yourself. Some people experience a dramatic shift in just one session.

At the start of class often there is a guided meditation, then a suggestion that you set an intention for breathwork whether that is to release an emotion or memory that has been worrying you, or to call in joy, creativity, or an answer you are seeking. She asks that you set it, and then forget it: to let go and embrace the deep meditative state.

After Breathwork, there is a period of integration which includes a sound bath where some people have deep rest while downloading creative or inspired ideas. Elizabeth uses Grotta Sonora gongs, crystal sound bowls, rattles, chimes, crystal pyraminds, and koshi bells to help create a state of bliss through sound healing.

Reported Benefits of Sound Healing

• Feeling calmer/less stressed.

• Muscles that feel looser.

• A greater sense of relaxation.

• Pain relief.

• The ability to sleep better.

• Improved mood.

• Better body awareness/being more in tune with your body.

Benefits of Breathwork

Our body is a living library of our past emotions and memories. When we experience something traumatic, our brain is often unable to process all the emotions and instead stores the energy in our body until it can become released. These unprocessed emotions can wreak all sorts of havoc on us, ranging from anxiety and depression to manifesting as physical ailments. Breathwork creates a safe environment for the body to feel and release old emotions and memories. You could find yourself crying, trembling, shaking, or even laughing. This is your body’s way of processing and letting go of emotions and memories that it doesn’t need anymore. This sounds very heavy. Yes, breathwork is very powerful, but most of the healing is done on a subconscious level while we have fun and relax in class. Yes, healing is work--but we can laugh too. Laughter is the best medicine after all.

OTHER REPORTED BENEFITS OF BREATHWORK

• Relief from depression and anxiety

• Creative breakthroughs

• A reconnection to intuition

• A release of stuck energy or an opening of chakras

• Increased self-confidence

• Expanded Consciousness

• Self-love and acceptance

• Newfound meaning and purpose

• Increased joy and happiness

If you feel it is appropriate please consult with your medical doctor or mental health practitioner to determine if attending is a good fit for you. Breathwork is not appropriate for some medical conditions such as a history of strokes/aneurisms, epilepsy, and untreated high blood pressure. There are wide-range of opinions about doing breathwork while pregnant and only you and or you/and your doctor can make the best decision if this practice is right for you.

BIO

Healer, teacher, and guide Elizabeth Bardelli, Ed.S., has spent over three decades in service helping others to live their best lives. Her hero and inspiration Viktor Frankl said, “Everyone has his own specific vocation or mission in life; everyone must carry out a concrete assignment that demands fulfillment.” Liz dedicated over 25 years to building creative learning opportunities for urban youth within an ever-changing educational construct, simultaneously pursuing advanced academic degrees with the goal of creating an environment where students could thrive while learning to make empowering choices using independent thinking. During a life-altering cancer illness Liz immersed herself into different wellness practices as a seeker. Liz found that her experience heightened her ability to channel her intuition and empathy to help others. Her journey as a student of best wellness practices metamorphosed into Baltimore Breathwork. She feels fortunate every day that she gets to help hundreds of folks each year to live their best lives.
