Join author Gordon Charles MacLean for the official launch of his debut book, The Awake Code: 39 Rules for Living a Fully Engaged Life, on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago.

More than a traditional book launch, this exclusive Chicago evening brings together business leaders, entrepreneurs, commercial real estate professionals, veterans, philanthropists, and high-performing individuals for an unforgettable experience of inspiration, connection, and entertainment.

The evening will be held in the Grand Salon overlooking the Chicago River and will feature a complimentary cocktail reception with open bar, passed hors d'oeuvres, networking, author remarks, a book signing, and a special live performance by internationally acclaimed pianist ELEW (Eric Lewis), creator of Rockjazz and recently featured as the opening act for Sting's STING 3.0 Tour.

Gordon Charles MacLean is a commercial real estate executive, entrepreneur, military veteran, and author whose journey spans decades of business success, adversity, reinvention, and personal growth. The Awake Code shares 39 practical principles for living a more engaged, purposeful, and fulfilled life.

This year's launch event is also proud to support K9s For Warriors, one of America's leading veteran service organizations. Representatives from the organization, along with veteran participants and their service dogs, will be joining us for the evening. In support of their mission, 100% of the proceeds from book sales during the event will be donated directly to K9s For Warriors.
