The Artist’s Way: A 12-Week Creative Circle
About this Event
Do you ever feel like you’ve lost touch with your creative side?
You don’t have to think of yourself as an artist to feel that way. Perhaps you miss making things, have something you’ve always wanted to try or simply wonder what might happen if you gave that part of yourself more room.
You may already be painting, writing, making music or designing, but lately it has felt harder to make time for it or enjoy it in the same way.
Maybe The Artist’s Way has been sitting on your bookshelf for years. You started it once, or several times, but somewhere along the way life took over and you lost momentum.
That was my experience too.
I first bought The Artist’s Way many years ago and started it several times before finally completing it last year. I loved the experience. It helped me return to painting, experiment more freely and see other parts of my life in a new light.
Exploring The Artist’s Way together
Over 12 weeks, a small group of up to six people will move through Julia Cameron’s The Artist’s Way, one chapter at a time.
The book introduces practices such as Morning Pages, Artist Dates and weekly exercises. Our gatherings offer a place to reflect on what we're discovering, encourage one another and stay engaged with the process.
We may also include short meditations, creative exercises and opportunities to experiment and play.
This is more than a weekly discussion of the book.
I’ll draw on more than 15 years of coaching and facilitation experience to guide our conversations, ask thoughtful questions and help us look at familiar patterns from new perspectives.
Because the circle is intentionally small, there will be time for everyone to contribute and be heard. There is no expectation that you produce anything or share your creative work.
