The Art Show

Opening Reception- April 18 from 6-8 PM

The Casselberry Arts Center presents, in collaboration with the University of Central Florida, an exhibition specifically for the students in the UCF SVAD MFA program.

The Art Show is the concept of an exhibition which invites the participants to think beyond their studio practice and outside their preconceived notions of an art exhibition in order to gain a new understanding of the limitations and successes of the exhibition format. This exhibition offers the students valuable experience outside of the University in a professional gallery space while garnering recognition from the Central Florida community.

As part of the programming for The Art Show the students will participate in a public discussion touching on topics such as the exhibition format, the value of art, and implications of competition within the world of art.
