Madeleine Easton, Bach Akademie Australia Artistic Director, will work with gifted WollCon students in an interactive masterclass exploring technique and musicality across a wide range of repertoire for solo violin.
At the core of Bach Akademie Australia’s vision is a commitment to building education and career pathways for young musicians. The ensemble is establishing long-term partnerships with education institutions across Australia including Wollongong Conservatorium of Music.
Bach Akademie Australia’s masterclass and concert at WollCon this September see the ensemble visiting Wollongong and the Illawarra region for the first time. The Art of Violin concert features Artistic Director Madeleine Easton, Rafael Font and Simone Slattery showcasing how the concerto form electrified Baroque Europe—where dazzling technique met timeless artistry. Ahead of this, Madeleine Easton will lead a masterclass tailored to inspiring WollCon’s young musicians through her expert mentorship.
