About this Event
Featured: La Fuerza Vermouth
La Fuerza Vermouth, crafted in Mendoza at the foothills of the Andes, is internationally recognized as the first Argentinian vermouth exported worldwide and the only non-European winner at the International Wine & Spirits Competition. What distinguishes La Fuerza is its direct connection to Argentina’s wine heritage: it uses local wines made from Malbec (for Rojo) and Torrontés (for Blanco) grapes, combined with natural grape must and brandy from Mendoza. The unique recipe includes over 40 hand-harvested botanicals and wild herbs gathered from the Andes, such as yerba mate, sage, mint, elderberry, and artemesia mendozana.
This vermouth stands out for its natural ingredients, vivid aromatics, and bold bitter-sweet profile. The Rojo (red) features deep ruby color, vibrant fruit and spice, with a tannic structure from Malbec, while the Blanco (white) is bright, floral, and citrusy, thanks to Torrontés and mountain herbs. Produced entirely in Mendoza, La Fuerza embodies Argentine pride, innovation, and a sense of place, offering a new-world twist that appeals equally to classic vermouth lovers and those seeking distinctive cocktail experiences.
About
La Fuerza crafts several distinctive vermouths, each expressing the terroir of Mendoza and the botanicals of the Andes. The three core styles are Rojo, Blanco, and Primavera, joined by limited bottlings like Sideral.
La Fuerza Rojo Vermouth
Made from 100% Malbec grown in Mendoza, Rojo is vibrant, deep ruby in color, and features an unusually tannic structure for sweet vermouth thanks to its red wine base. Infused with over 40 botanicals, including jarilla, carqueja, wormwood, gentian, sage, and native herbs from the Andes, it displays aromas of cinnamon, blackberry, plum, and clove, with flavors of gentian, cacao, black currant, and spice. Dry, bitter, and earthy, it stands apart for its pronounced Malbec fruit, limited sweetness (from grape must, not sugar), and bold herbal complexity. Rojo works beautifully neat, with tonic, and in cocktails requiring a tannic, robust vermouth.
La Fuerza Blanco Vermouth
Blanco is built on Mendoza-grown Torrontés, a grape famed for its aromatic, floral profile. This vermouth is infused with mint, thyme, rosemary, chamomile, and other Andes-sourced herbs. The palate is citric, fresh, and aromatic, with notes of wild sage, orange blossom, chamomile, and dried flowers. Refreshingly light, floral, and slightly bitter, Blanco excels as an aperitif, mixed in spritzes, or pairing with light cocktails where herbal brightness is key.
La Fuerza Primavera Vermouth
Primavera is a distinct pink vermouth, crafted from Torrontés and colored with hibiscus flowers. Its recipe features 14 botanicals including fennel, violet, lavender, marcela, azhar, wormwood, artemisia mendozana, and yarrow, all sourced from the Andes. Primavera stands out for its fresh, floral, and exotic character—effortlessly pink, lively, and fragrant. It’s made with no preservatives or added flavors, and is vegan. The taste is vivid and spring-like, perfect in a simple spritz with seltzer or tonic and citrus, or as a creative twist in classic cocktails calling for vermouth.
Notable Mentions: La Fuerza Sideral (limited release)
Sideral is a deeper, richer vermouth made with Mendoza wines and wild herbs, aged for 12 months in oak barrels for additional depth and aromatic complexity. While less commonly available, it expresses the intense, deep, and aromatic capabilities of Argentine vermouth craft.
