The French-American Chamber of Commerce (FACC) Women in Leadership Committee and designer Nina McLemore invite you to an inspiring evening featuring a discussion and book signing with New York Times bestselling author Lynne Olson.

The Sisterhood of RavensbrĂĽck

Lynne Olson will discuss her latest book, The Sisterhood of RavensbrĂĽck: How an Intrepid Band of Frenchwomen Resisted the Nazis in Hitler's All-Female Concentration Camp.

Olson tells the compelling, true account of French Resistance women who, deported by the Nazis, found strength and defiance within the horrors of an all-female concentration camp. They joined forces to resist their German captors, supported each other in healing after the war, and continued their crusade for freedom and justice, refusing to let their sacrifices be forgotten.

This event celebrates the profound impact and leadership of women whose actions continue to reverberate today.

About the Author

Lynne Olson is a New York Times bestselling author of ten books of history, including Empress of the Nile, Madame Fourcade’s War, Last Hope Island, Those Angry Days, and Citizens of London. Former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright has called her “our era's foremost chronicler of World War II politics and diplomacy.” Olson chronicles the women who have been unfairly relegated to the dark corners of history, even though their actions had profound impact and reverberate to this day.
