The Art of Us: A Couples Workshop in Deeper Connection
About this Event
Join us for an evening of deeper connection with your partner. Led by a couples therapist and a somatic psychotherapist, this evening draws on both fields to help you meet each other with more presence, play, and ease.
Relational intelligence is a skill, but it's not one most of us were ever taught. We pick up how to love through trial, error, and whatever patterns we happened to absorb along the way, then spend years running on that inheritance without realising it.
This workshop is designed to teach you what actually makes relationships work: how to understand your patterns, communicate in ways that land, and reconnect emotionally and physically with more presence than before.
Think of it as a first date with someone you already love. You'll leave with practical tools, a few shared moments you'll actually remember, and a felt sense of closeness with your partner that lasts well beyond the night itself.
What to expect
Across the evening, you'll work with two psychotherapists bringing different lenses to connection:
Relational dynamics with Bevan (couples therapist)
An introduction to the patterns that shape how you and your partner relate. Your individual "dance," where those patterns were first learned, and how two people unconsciously co-create a dynamic together.
You'll leave with a clearer map of your own communication style, an introduction to alternative ways of communicating, and practical tools for having better conversations, especially the hard ones.
Intimacy and embodiment with Rachel (somatic psychotherapist)
A shift from the cognitive into the felt sense of connection. This part of the evening moves out of talking and into practice: gentle, guided experiences in breathwork, light touch, and slow movement, designed to help you reconnect physically and rebuild a sense of ease and intimacy in your bodies together.
You'll be guided every step of the way, and everything is designed to be done at your own comfort level.
Who’s this for
This evening is for couples at any stage, dating, engaged, married, long together, who want to build something deeper. Whether you're laying the foundations of a new relationship or deepening one you've built over years, this is for you.
It's for those with a desire for more understanding, more ease in how you talk to each other, and more intimacy, physical and otherwise. All you need is an open heart, a willingness to explore and a desire to connect more deeply with your partner.
Yes, it's run by therapists but this isn't therapy. There's no digging up what's broken. Think of it more like a playground for connection: practical, playful, and genuinely fun to do together.
Your Facilitators
Bevan and Rachel Pfeiffer aren't just professionals in this space. They bring years of experience to it together, as trauma-informed psychotherapists, long-time yoga practitioners, and a married couple who use these exact tools in their own relationship.
Bevan brings couples therapy training; Rachel specialises in embodiment and nervous system-informed care. Between them, this workshop is equal parts practical and felt.
