The Art of Storytelling with Top Boarding School Admissions Officers
About this Event
Overview
As the school year begins, join us for a storytelling skills event with Admissions Officers representing boarding high schools at Zibby's Bookshop, 1113 Montana Ave, Santa Monica 90403! Geared towards students or parents of teenagers, learn what makes a memorable story in written form for application essays or spoken form for compelling interviews.
About the Ten Schools Admission Organization (TSAO):
Zibby’s Book Shop celebrates that “Stories are best when shared.” In this spirit, TSAO admission officers will discuss what makes effective storytelling in the admission process. Each fall and spring, representatives from selective boarding high schools from the Northeast travel to Los Angeles to meet with prospective students and families about the value of a boarding high school experience.
Boarding school, today, is not just about preparing you for college, but preparing you for all the possibilities life presents. This workshop addresses storytelling skills that are crucial in any application process, in school life, and beyond. https://www.tenschools.org/
This workshop is intended for students and parents.
