In this workshop, Ashley will dive into the world of brassicas, including broccoli, cabbage, radicchio, cauliflower, and bok choy. These cool-season crops are garden favorites, prized for their versatility and nutrition.
Ashley will cover the essentials of starting seeds for success—choosing the right soil, proper planting techniques, and caring for your seedlings as they grow strong and healthy. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to refine your skills, this class will give you the confidence to grow your own thriving brassicas from seed to harvest. We will supply all the materials needed for this class, including a seed starting kit with soil, a warming mat and seeds.
Ashley is a local farmer that works at the nursery as a sales associate. She is our ambassador for The Farmstand at New Leaf Nursery Hayden. The Farmstand is a seasonal market for local produce growers, as well as cottage goods artisans (meat, cheese, eggs and bread). The Farmstand runs during the growing season from June to September, showcasing seasonal produce and foods for your daily needs.
