Join us for the third session of Saraswati Sundays — an afternoon of creativity, contemplation, and community at Kagyu Ling Buddhist Centre.Our theme, “The Art of Pebble Painting & Calligraphy,” invites participants to work with pebbles and stones, exploring paint, pattern, dots, and calligraphic mark-making in a calm, welcoming space.
The session is inspired in part by the tradition of Tibetan mani stones, inscribed with the Chenrezik mantra — though participants are equally welcome to work with words of wisdom, poetic phrases, symbols, mandala-like patterns, purely abstract designs and such like.
This is a gentle, open-ended session where pebbles become poetry: artful dots, mindful patterns; painted stones, timeless words. Each stone becomes something that can be held in the hand — a small object of reflection, intention, or simple beauty.
As with all Saraswati Sundays gatherings, we will begin with a shared, nourishing lunch, followed by the creative session. All materials are provided, along with gentle background music.
All ages and abilities are welcome (children and under-18s should be accompanied by an adult).
There is no fee to attend — generosity is at the heart of the project, and donations are welcome to support future sessions.

Designed to bring together Buddhists, their families, friends, and neighbours, these gatherings offer a joyful way to share space, nourish relationships, and engage with the Dharma through the arts.
