The Art of Flowers & Paper is a special community evening presented by Altar Aqua Studio, featuring the work of Houston-based mixed-media artist and papermaker Yvette Grutter.
Through handmade paper, printmaking, mixed media, flowers, natural fibers, pigments, and organic materials, Yvette creates richly textured works that explore memory, identity, nature, personal experience, and transformation.
Guests will have the opportunity to experience her work up close, meet the artist, learn more about her creative process, and discover how traditional paper-making techniques and natural materials can become contemporary works of art.
The evening is designed as an intimate art experience where visitors can slow down, explore the textures and details of each piece, connect with other art lovers, and enjoy the welcoming atmosphere of Altar Aqua Studio.
Yvette Grutter is a Mexican-Swiss-American artist whose work has been exhibited in the United States, Mexico, Switzerland, Spain, and Turkey. In 2025, the Government of Mexico named her a Cultural Ambassador during the VI Jornada de Artistas in recognition of her commitment to promoting Mexican culture and traditions abroad.
