Whether you're negotiating a settlement, advising a client, managing a dispute, or navigating difficult conversations in the workplace, negotiation and mediation skills are among the most valuable tools a lawyer can develop.

Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge and District Law Society is delighted to be able to offer this useful, and fun, opportunity. An engaging and interactive workshop led by Darren Weir. Barrister (unregistered), Senior Lecturer and Accredited Mediator.

You'll have the opportunity to explore the principles of effective negotiation and mediation through practical exercises, real-world scenarios, and some friendly competition.

This is not a lecture. Expect to get involved, test your skills, and discover techniques that can help you achieve better outcomes in both professional and everyday situations.

During the session, we will:

• Explore the foundations of successful negotiation
• Practise practical techniques for influencing outcomes and building agreement
• Experience mediation skills in action through interactive exercises
• Discuss how these skills apply across legal practice and beyond
• Learn more about the University of Kent Law School's new Mediation Service
