Joy in Motion: Creative Movement for Adults
Thursdays 9-10am
Discover the joy of moving in this gentle class focused on building strength through flowing, natural movement. We use beautiful classical music and simple, creative exercises to leave you energized, connected to your body and part of a welcoming community. No experience needed- all bodies welcome and bare feet please.
Please wear comfortable clothing you can move freely in and bring a water bottle.
Isadora Duncan Dance: Stories in Motion- Ages 7-9
Thursdays 4:30-5:30pm
Children build strength, coordination and musicality through joyful floor work, skips, runs and leaps set to classical music. We explore themes from Greek myths and nature to spark imagination and confident expression. No experience needed- just bare feet and a love of moving!
Please wear comfortable clothing you can move in; dance tutus are welcome, but not required and bring a water bottle.
First Thursday Community Movement Circle- All Ages, All Abilities Including the Differently Abled
First Thursday of each month, 6-7pm
Everyone can move! This inclusive, adaptive class welcomes all ages and abilities to share simple, joyful movement together in a supportive circle. Using scarves, music and imagery from nature, we explore strength, expression and connection at your own pace.
Please wear comfortable clothing you can move in and bring a water bottle.
About the Teacher:
With over 35 years of dance experience and a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in Dance and Theater from Coker University, Leslie brings a rich artistic background to her Movement Meditations classes. She is certified in Isadora Duncan Dance Studies with the Isadora Duncan International Institute, NY. Leslie has performed nationally and internationally and is passionate about sharing the transformative power of movement with others. Through her teaching, she aims to inspire students to cultivate mindfulness, self-awareness and creativity.
