Overview:
When it comes to finishing your e.max® CAD restoration, you have quite a few options to select from.
This class will discuss shaping and contouring anterior restorations, crystallization methods, and stain and glazing options utilizing the IPS e.max® CAD Crystall./Shades and Stains.
In addition, we will cover technical tips to help you achieve consistent and esthetic results.
In this course, you will learn more about the following themes:
- Block selection and utilizing the Shade Navigation App
- Review types of stain and glaze processes with IPS e.max® CAD/lithium disilicate
- Understanding the factors that influence the esthetic outcome of IPS e.max® CAD/ lithium disilicate.

Instructor: Jerry Varner, CDT
Jerry Varner, CDT has over 23 years experience as a dental laboratory technician and educator. He received his training as a dental technician in the United States Navy, Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas in 1998. Prior to joining Ivoclar Vivadent, Inc., Jerry taught Dental Laboratory Technology at the Department of Defense Dental Laboratory School at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. In addition, he also served as dental technician in both the U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force. After his retirement from the Air Force in 2016 he worked for the Department of Defense at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada as a Dental Technician and later joined Ivoclar Vivadent as a Technical Consultant working in the Technical Services and Education Department. As a Technical Consultant Jerry provides education programs on the proper utilization of Ivoclar technical products throughout the United States and Canada. Other key responsibilities include technical product phone support and troubleshooting.
