Celebrate 75 years of art, creativity, and community at the Museum of Art DeLand's most delicious anniversary event.
The Art of Cake invites Museum of Art - DeLand members to bring a decorated cake and take part in a unique anniversary gathering where art and hospitality come together. Cakes will be displayed in the Museum's event space as a colorful collection of edible creativity, celebrating the imagination and generosity of our members.
As part of the event, members will have the opportunity to view the cakes, visit with fellow supporters, enjoy the galleries, and participate in the tradition of sharing cakes with one another in honor of the Museum's 75 years of service to our community.
Registration is $35 per person and must be done in advance at:
https://secure.qgiv.com/for/themuseumofartdelandflorida/event/theartofcakecelebrating75years
Each attendee is required to bring one whole cake (minimum 6 inches in diameter) to participate. A limited number of VIP tickets are available for $75 and a cake is not required with VIP admission. Cake slicing groups will be assigned by registration order, so first to register is the first to cake!
General registration includes entry to the event, one to-go cake box, and a cake flavor card. VIP tickets also include first access to cake slicing with no cake required to attend as a VIP.
This event is open exclusively to Museum members.

The Rules:
Every ticket holder must bring a cake. No exceptions. You cannot split one cake between multiple attendees for entry. Doesn't matter if you're 9 or 90.
Cakes must be whole and uncut upon arrival. Minimum size: 6 inches in diameter. Ideal: 7–10 inches or larger. Sheet cakes are welcome, and you can bring more than one flavor.
Cakes do not have to be homemade. Bakery-prepared and store-purchased cakes are welcome. In the spirit of the event, we encourage participants to create their own cake whenever possible.
No cupcakes, bars, brownies, or other non-cake items. It must be a whole cake. (We love those things. This is just not their event.)
Label your cake clearly with flavor and any life-threatening allergens — especially NUTS. Cards and pens will be at check-in.
Cakes containing nuts must be placed in the designated nut-containing zone.
While participants are asked to label ingredients and allergens, the Museum cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
Individuals with allergies or dietary restrictions should exercise their own judgment when choosing whether to sample cakes.
Take one slice per cake during your wristband window. Additional cake selections may be made after all groups have completed their first pass.
Be kind at the cake tables. Gloves are available. Please use the provided spatulas and wax paper when serving cake. If someone needs a hand cutting or serving, lend a helping hand. We're all in this together.
Cakes served at this event are prepared and donated by individual participants, including in private home kitchens. Ingredients and allergen information will be provided when available; however, the Museum cannot guarantee that any item is free from allergens or cross-contact. Guests should use their own discretion when consuming food.
