The Art Nude: Lebanon PA

After we wrap up the portrait workshop in Lebanon PA, I’m opening the studio for a second day — this time for something more distilled, more focused, and creatively challenging: a dedicated workshop on the Art Nude.

This optional session is designed for photographers ready to explore light and form at their most refined. We’re not just photographing subjects — we’re studying shape, mood, and the emotional impact of simplicity. Every lighting decision is purposeful. Every frame is an exercise in restraint and presence.

We’ll look closely at how light sculpts the body, how gesture tells a story, and how to direct with sensitivity and confidence. This kind of work asks more of you — technically, artistically, and interpersonally — but it also sharpens your eye like few genres can.

If you're already coming out for the Friday workshop, this is an ideal complement. Two days, two approaches — and one opportunity to elevate how you see and shoot.

Info: Light is integral to how a mood is conveyed in a portrait, and how you complement or contrast it is something Nino loves to explore. He will review several lighting setups, and crucially, will explain *why* he lights the way he does, covering the philosophy and vision behind using light in intimate portraiture. Mixing and matching strobes with ambient, and the willingness to improvise with excitement, not disappointment.
