The Apricots!

The Apricots began the way many good things do: with a housing survey. Matched as freshman-year roommates in 2014, lead singers Chloé Serkissian and Molly Evered bonded over late nights, crowded dorm rooms, and a shared love of folk music and songwriting. By 2016, they were writing songs together, and in 2018, they moved to Portland in search of a music scene and a clearer sense of direction.
After a rotating cast of characters and one band name upgrade, The Apricots finally hit their stride with the release of their self-titled EP in 2023. Their songs mix indie-rock beats, folk-inspired harmonies, dreamy guitar and synth swells, and bass lines that just won’t quit. They draw inspiration from timeless artists like Paul McCartney, Simon & Garfunkel, and Crosby, Stills & Nash; while also evoking modern artists like Lucius, Joseph, Julia Jacklin, and Parcels.
The Apricots are set to release their first full-length album later this year. With bassist Jeremy Reeves, guitarist Jake Mackie, and drummer Logan Hazen rounding out their sound, The Apricots are celebrating the sweet fruits of their labor—and you’re invited to take a bite.
