Emy McGuire is one of Denver’s most compelling emerging storytellers: a novelist, playwright, composer, lyricist, and performer whose work bridges history, mystery, and myth. A Colorado native, she has earned national recognition with her sapphic pirate musical, The Legend of Anne Bonny, and her books, No One Aboard and They Only Found Her.
Artists Amongst Us is honored to welcome Emy for an intimate salon performance raising money to bring her musical to New York. Experience The Legend of Anne Bonny with six songs performed by actors ranging from the world premiere to those involved with the upcoming cast album. There will be food, drink, and a top secret showing at the end from Emy McGuire and Pluto Boll’s new, unannounced musical. Come meet an exceptional young artist whose creative vision is helping shape the future of American theater and become part of the Anne Bonny crew!
