The "It's Not Fair" Fair
About this Event
The "It’s Not Fair" Fair is a free community event for children and teens who have experienced the death of someone important to them, and the adults who support them.
This is a place to meet people who get it. Kids and teens can meet others who get it, try on a new way to grieve, play, move, explore, and have fun. Caregivers can connect with other adults who understand what it’s like to support a grieving child while navigating their own grief.
What to expect:
- Meet other families who are learning how to live after a death
- Explore grief resources and local organizations supporting grieving families
- Move, play, and try something new through free hands-on activities for the whole family
- Shop the community market with local makers and artists
- Spend time in a place where death and grief can be named out loud, and there's still joy too
You don’t have to be “doing grief right” to come. You don’t have to be ready to talk. You just have to show up.
The "It’s Not Fair" Fair is for families living with the reality of death, and for the community that wants to show up for them.
Come for an activity. Stay for the community. Leave knowing you’re not the only one.
